Anyone have any idea what could be accessing my hda every 3 seconds? gkrellm shows a 25k access even when I'm not doing anything.
Probably the access time on /etc/ being updated because nautilus is watching /etc/mtab. If you're worried about it, you can set the "noatime" option on / in /etc/fstab and remount it.
