I'm using kde which I built myself (kde-3.1.1a), and it seems to work fine. But I just noticed that non-kde apps are totally screwed. Specifically, various gnome apps are using a font that is totally unreadable. I have tried gimp and evolution. Menus have a font that has a strange square character between every real character. Any clues? I didn't do much of anything to change the stock RH9 font setup. Only I have latex ttf installed under /usr/share/fonts, as well as MS$ ttf fonts under ~/.fonts.
