I didn't get the point where I could see the menu.

I had configured dhcpd, pxe (I had to set UseDHCPPort to 0 as the
machine was also a DHCP server), tftp (just to enable it for xinetd). I
didn't touch mtftpd. I think I did it correctly.

Exactly, but I can't see any menu. The error message I described is
displayed instead.

I did and followed it.

I did but had no success. Instead, I have used pxelinux that seems to
work pretty fine. Thanks!
