Hi Pete,

Forgot to put in those contacts this morning? :) No I don't see what you
are describing but I run my "powered by" 9000 Pro on a 21" at 1280x1024,
24bpp. From your description it almost seems like the refresh rate is
too low. Have you tried lowering the resolution to 1280x1024 and upping
the refresh rates (if not done automagically)?

Off topic: since you have a Radeon 9000 Pro, can you please check
/var/log/messages for entries similar to the ones described in this Red
Hat 9 bugzilla report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=87761
In either case can you please email me the exact brand/model description
of the 9000 Pro you have.
