Have you tried lowering the resolution to 1280x1024 and upping the refresh rates (if not done automagically)? Off topic: since you have a Radeon 9000 Pro, can you please check /var/log/messages for entries similar to the ones described in this Red Hat 9 bugzilla report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=87761 In either case can you please email me the exact brand/model description of the 9000 Pro you have.
