Yes, that works fine - on my boxes, which don't exhibit the bug... I don't have any unpatched openssh servers left to test, but I can verify the situation next shrike or phoebe install -
If I "ssh root@xxxxxxxxx" and enter "sleep 30 & exit", I don't get my own bash prompt back for 30 seconds, so it's definitely still a problem.
