Gnome desktop On the panel, I do a right mouse, properties, background, color to set the color. Close the window and the color is accepted. Logout and log in and the color is set to black. Do the same thing and set it to transparent. From that point on color cannot be changed until after logout/login. I have tried save session setting upon logout, but it really should not need it. I'd be happy if it remembered my settings. I tried this with a new user, same result. Any ideas?
