Has anyone else seen any of these problems with RH9?

gnome-panel will not remember backgroung colors after logoff
(when background is set to a color, it always defaults back to black at logon). I have installed the gnome-panel package from Mandrake 9.1 and after solving all it's dependancies, it works fine. (same version)

in gnome terminal, after running mc (midnight commander) it always returns to a command prompt on the top of the terminal. This is a problem when running mc with the screen full, because when you exit the prompt is displayed in the middle of what was already there. Also mc does not do this in xterm or a VC.

Any ideas on fixes?

Thanks, Craig Sowadski

Before the clearing of the screen, through the gnome terminal. It would exit and the prompt would be somewhere within the displayed output. Usually, about the location of the second line of test.

With the beta test, it was needed to clear the screen, to locate the prompt. I am glad that the problem with the usage of the mouse, within gnome-terminal, running mc was fixed.

I guess a bug should be filed. But it sounds like welcomed behavior to me.
