Hi,

I have recently bought a Logitech Optical mouse, and it works great
apart from it tends to wonder/bounce around the screen a lot (all
desktops or window managers), which if I'm trying to do click on one
app, leads me to click on another one, or worse close the current window
(depending upon where it feels like going).

Has anyone else had these sort of problems, its the same in 8.0 as well
as 9, I was hoping it could just be a config change in my XF86Config
file, but I'm not sure what to enter, as I cannot find anything on the
net about any extra setting for them.

Definitely. It happens to me all of the time in RHL, Mandrake, Windows XP. It seems to be the nature of the beast as it has happened to me with both a wireless optical and a corded optical Logitech mouse and to my daughter with a Microsoft wireless optical. I dislike the behaviour, but have learned to put up with it.
