My Shuttle SK41G has a VIA Savage8 (detected as a S3 Prosavage KM133) using the "savage" driver. 640x480 and lower will work. Even then, the screen is not centered up well. I upped the res to 800x600 only to not get back into X again. redhat-config-xfree86 --reconfig still used the high resolution from the XF86Config file even though it wasn't supposed to. So I couldn't even fix my res without hand editing the F86Config. I asked this question years ago, how can grub and anaconda load up a graphic screen correctly and tools like redhat-config-xfree86 not do the same video mode? I just don't get it. I hope an update will come out. -Eric Wood Ed Wilts wrote: > The video card (on board on a Presario 6000Z) is an S3 Graphics > ProSavage DDR.
