You will also need the php rpm. It can be found on the RH9 install CDs.
Do a 'rpm -qa | grep "php\|mysql"'
This is what I get:
mysql-3.23.56-1.80
php-imap-4.2.2-17.2
php-mysql-4.2.2-17.2
mysql-server-3.23.56-1.80
php-4.2.2-17.2
php-ldap-4.2.2-17.2
You probably won't need the imap or ldap packages.
