unrecognisable uids

hi all,
        i did a repquota command and can see that there are 3 uids displayed
at the bottom of the rest of the usernames. how do i check where the uids
are from and how to delete it from the system.

i check all passwd,shadow,group,gshadow files and also did ypinit -m but i
still see them with the repquota command.
where are the places to check for these unknown uids?

btw the passwd and shadow files i copied over from a redhat 7.0 system. am
using 8.0 now.
