PHP-IMAP problem?

Hello all:

I tried this PHP script:

#############
<?php

if(imap_open("{localhost:143}INBOX", "username", "password"))
   echo "Ok, you're in." ;
else
   echo imap_last_error() ;

?>
#############

with php-imap package already installed; but I got the error message that
looked like "... no certificates ...". Sorry I can't remember the whole thing;
I hope many of you have have used php-imap would be able to spot this problem.

Please may I ask for your solution? Do I need to re-install the php-imap
package with certain options? My guess is that this package does not have a
signature; and I don't know how to add one to it either.

The 'man rpm' describes the option '--addsign' to a package. How do I use that
option?

Thanks
Vidol
