Probably because there is just one slapd process with several threads...I've compiled the same version of openldap on a slackware 9.0 (kernel 2.4.20) and i use the same config files.
When I do a ps , I see at least 4 slapd process...
I look at the faq on openldap site and the same problem was seen several month ago on redhat 7.1 and it was a bug in glibc...
Does someone have infos about this ?
