I have just completed the update to RH9 from RH8. I booted from CDROM and chose the update methode rather than the full installation.
It worked flawlessly for me. I have an Athlon XP1800 with 511 DDRSDRAM. I boot into X with a custom Xclients with leads me into a Icewn managed Xsession. Worked flawlessly out of the box.
All seems to be working perfectly.
