How are you sending the mail? With a GUI app?
I sent the test mail from Ximian as well as Kmail on KDE desktop
1) Ximian
(Setting -1) Tools --> Mail Settings 'Sending Mail' Authentication Type 'Password'
Clicking 'Send', following warning popup
XError gpg: skipped 'satimis@xxxxxxxxxxxx': secret key not available gpg: signing failed: secret key not available
Never asked for password
(Setting -2) Tools --> Mail Settings 'Sending Mail' Clicking 'Check for supported types' it selected 'NT Login' on the droplist 'Password' fadeout
Clicking 'Send', following popup

Try sending from mutt, or if you are using sendmail try,
