Hi Aaron, I can do what you describe (although the simple command "mount
/mnt/cdrom" does not work on my system - I have to use "mount dev/scd0
/mnt/cdrom" instead).

My problem is that, when I use the package management utility
("redhat-config-packages"), I select the package(s), that I want to
install, I click on the "Update" button, I receive the message "Psyche
8.0 disk 2 needed to install packages", I insert the second CD into my
CD-ROM drive, click on the "OK" button and, then, I get the error
message "Unable to access disk".

If I manually mount the CD-ROM drive into a directory, I can browse the
installation CD's and use the "rpm" command to installa packages,
however, this is cumbersome, if I want to install entire collections,
e.g. the "GNOME" desktop environment.

Anyway, thanks for the answer.
