I can launch programs using the main X server just fine. However, I cannot use a second server, such as Xnest. I fire up Xnest like so: [root@xxxxxxxx jhereg]# Xnest :1 & [1] 15263 [root@xxxxxxxx jhereg]# Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing from list! When I try to use it, I get this: [ccurley@xxxxxxxx ccurley]$ xterm -display :1 & [1] 15271 [ccurley@xxxxxxxx ccurley]$ Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified xterm Xt error: Can't open display: :1 Is the font path problem above related? How do you sepcify a font path? Xnest does not appear to use XF86Config. Also, is there a way to shut down Xnest that does not leave the lock file and socket behind? -- Charles Curley /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign Looking for fine software \ / Respect for open standards and/or writing?
