today I did a freas install of the latest tripwire rpm from RH 8 (2.3.1-14) and rawhide (2.3.1-17) on two different servers. I followed the instructions of the online reference guide for the set up.
The command
/usr/sbin/tripwire -m u -r /var/lib/tripwire/report/mail-20030326-161019.twr
opens the report, I can do the changes, exit with :wq from vi and than get:
Interactive Update failed. ### Error: Report file could not be parsed. Report may be corrupt. ### Exiting...
It's the same with
/usr/sbin/tripwire --check --interactive
This happens on both systems; any ideas what could be wrong?
