Gidday People,
I am in need of push in the right direction.
I have created the following additions to my /etc/fstab file
/dev/hda1 /mnt/winxp vfat noauto,owner 0 0
/dev/hda5 /mnt/lindows auto noauto,owner 0 0
similarly I have also made the corresponding directories
/mnt/winxp
/mnt/lindows
As the above was all achieved with the su command, Do I now have to add
the appropriate user to the root or superuser group or chown both /dev and /mnt to a
user status ??? Sorry I am a little confused myself here...!!!
I am trying to set up links on the non root desktop rather than logging in
as root in an xterm and manually mounting. Not sure if I am going about it the
right way.?
