No... just I installed from rpm's some time ago on 7.3 systems and and do
want to go make bold assertions about the current state of affairs.  

Certainly I would expect that even if no one is providing prebuild rpm's the
spec file available in the source tar balls should be up to date so you can
make your own rpms.
