Here's a sample from my hosts.deny that may get you started:

ALL: ALL: spawn echo tcpwrap has detected an unauthorised connection attempt\
  from %h %a to %d at `date`|tee -a /var/log/secure|mail -s 'Unauthorized \
  Connection attempt' root
