I think maybe you are trying to use APM when your laptop is wanting ACPI?

You might want to have a look at the ACPI project on SF.

There is too much ground to cover, and besides it is all documented
aready.  You really need to go looking for some of the laptop
resources for linux.  A quick google search found me these:

Well, I already read all of them, and didn'f find anything usefull.
