hi...

Can anyone tell me how to stop sendmail from continually attempting to send a message over and over that it can't deliver. The mail for root keeps getting filled up with the same undelivered email message!!!

I'm pretty sure it's a simple command.. I can't seem to find it!

thanks

Don't know a command other than 'rm' to remove a mail message. You can list the mail in the queue with:

mailq

and the outgoing messages should be in the dir:

/var/spool/mqueue

There should be 2 files in the /var/spool/mqueue
for each message, and you can delete them with the rm command. Just to be safe, you might want to do a:

service sendmail restart
