How can I fix it? It seems to be a simple problem, but I cannot solve it.
The best and easiest way is to download the tar.gz file from winehq.org and compile it yourself for your specific machine. I tried wine-*.rpm from RedHat8 and got exactly the same problem with the ttf (true type) fonts; and not to mention other things that's been cuztomized for "any" computer/machine. We can't blame RedHat because standarization is really not an easy thing to do. Just like that M$ thing...:)
BTW, wine installation is a little bit different from other normal Linux softwares. Make sure you run ./tools/winecheck first and do fix or take care of all the problems that the winecheck shows there. That way you can be sure that everything will be okey and running smoothly in your machine.
Good luck!
