Hi Marco,

     My wife had the same problem on her Toshiba Tecra 730CDT with the 
same SCSI card.  It went away with the application of an errata kernel.  I 
know it works with 2.4.18-18.8.0.  We'll be upgrading to the next one as 
soon as ALSA RPM's are available.
I don't know what to say about the network card.  She's using a LynkSys 
EtherFast card of some description, which always worked.
