if i do remeber right:
redhat recognize it since rhl 6.2 as via-rhine
take a look in the hcl

under rhl 8.0
#lsmod --> via-rhine
#modprobe via-rhine  --> ok

vi /etc/modules.conf
  alias eth0 via-rhine

      everywhere via-rhine

with rhl 6.2/7.3/8.0  absolutely no problems with the d-link DFE-530TX
