I have a sony ide cdburner (CRX175A 40x24x10/2MB;IDE) that is rated to burn at 24X, but it seems the ide scsi emulation only is allowing it to go 4X, if you query the drive with cdrecord it says only 4X. Anybody know why that is? Is there any way to get it to go faster?? I have read all the docs on cdrecord but no help there. It is using the mmc_cdr driver, and yes, I have tried the mmc_cdr_sony one too, no difference, the problem seems to be in the ide scsi emulation in the kernel, and not the driver in cdrecord...
