Well opinions can vary but I have seen published reports that something over 60% of total Unix/Linux installations use KDE. Who knows. But I'm fairly confident that Gnome is not used anywhere near as much as KDE. Gnome is probably used most often in Redhat, or Redhat based distros. And of those, they're only predominant in the US. In Europe the predominant distros are SUSE and Mandrake. In Asia TurboLinux is predominant. Like I said, who knows.. but one thing is certain.
