Printing, Network, and Modem

I have three problems with the new Red Hat 8.0.

1. Networking on a lan. On several machines after upgrading or a clean install the network gives a "Destination Host unreachable" message. Dropping back to RH 7.3 solves the problem or, in one case, re-installing RH 8.0 seems to solve the problem.

2. RH 8.0 and Kudzu detected the crappy softmodem I have installed, but how do I use it. BTW, the WinModem HOWTO was of no help either.

3. Printing to my HP660 has been broke since I upgraded to RH7.3 and continues with RH8.0.

OTOH, converting to 8.0 on some of our Compaq DL-320 servers allowed up to USB cables to connect to our Rose KVM so that was worth a few gold stars. And the graphics are a bit more pleasing to look at.

Any ideas on 1-3? Thanks Ray
