I was not clear too much with my previous message. With "rebuild" I mean just "to recompile" a *.src.rpm in order to obtain a *.rpm package optimized for my PC hardware. It seems to me "rpmbuild --rebuild" create a rpm package starting from a ".spec" file and from *.tar.gz files, does it ? Thank you again. Hi, Try using "rpmbuild --rebuild" instead. In the newer versions the build functionality of rpm has moved to a separate program. Also, make sure you have the rpm-build package installed.
