I don't know the movie "demux.avi".

But are you sure it was coded in divx format
(string "DX50" seems to be different from "divx5") ?
Maybe it requires a different codec !

Or maybe the .avi file is corrupted ! :|

Thanks for the input.

Although the divx4linux is the same thing I downloaded
from divx.com, I had not tried the freshmeat rpm.

So I installed it now, and still, I get the following
output when trying to view this avi file:

demux_avi: unknown avi format DX50
