 There is no such file as
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/crtbegin.o
in 8.0. gcc 2.96 has been relegated to compat-gcc and related packages,
and I think the relevant files are now located under
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux7 .

 You will either have to hack a fix (such as a symbolic link in the right
place), downgrade to 7.3, or wait until the company supplying the compiler
related software catches up.
