Please read the release notes, specifically:
grep -A 20 "Distribution General Notes" 
/usr/share/doc/redhat-release-8.0/RELEASE-NOTES-i386

Either change the LANG variable in /etc/sysconfig/i18n, set it at the 
prompt, 'export LANG=en_US', or call the program specifying the LANG 
variable 'env LANG=en_US your_command'
