Re: Please help with Syncing Palm (handspring Treo 180 USB)

Hi,

Before I could get my Palm to sync had to install the following:
gnome-pilot-0.1.65-10.i386.rpm

This adds the extra conduits you need, that are not in by default. I
can't recall where I downloaded it from, but a search on google came up
with:
http://redhat.ifsic.univ-rennes1.fr/rawhide/RedHat/RPMS/

But I'm sure that is not where I downloaded it from. Someone from this
list gave me the address. If you search the archives you should find
the address.

Also had to change some permissions, which the Ximian site gives help
on. The following pages should help:

http://support.ximian.com/cgi-bin/ximian.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_search_text=palm+permissions&p_new_search=1

http://support.ximian.com/cgi-bin/ximian.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=JVQUGFtg&p_lva=&p_faqid=143&p_created=1011993149&p_sp=cF9ncmlkc29ydD0mcF9yb3dfY250PTEwJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9cGFsbSBwZXJtaXNzaW9ucyZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**&p_li=

I found that when I tried syncing using the command line it gave a
better reason as to why it was not syncing.

Hope this helps.

Neil.
