All I apologize in my zeal to get this out there so I can get a resolution I did skip a step above. PLEASE NOTE I DID DO A MAKE bzImage immediately after the "make dep". The "mkinitrd" command was as follows: mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.4.19.img 2.4.19.
