Interesting, but I have the exact opposite problem, which started with
7.3 and continues with 8.0. Sometimes one keypress will spawn several
of the same keys. Say in Mozilla, one page down press, and it acts
like 5 or so were pressed. Playing around with xset seems to help, but
I haven't found the magic combination.
