You should be Ok if you recompile galeon-1.2.6. From the Galeon
website: 

Note: Although galeon 1.2.6 is source compatible with all 1.0.x, 1.1.x and
1.2a releases of mozilla, it must be recompiled for each particular mozilla
version. Our default target is mozilla 1.1 and that is what the binary
packages here are built against.
