I am using 2.1 ES. I can no longer get into Xwindows. I believe that this came about due to a video board replacement, but am unsure. I am not very versed on Linux. I had a problem with a video board so, I replaced it. Is there a way to reconfigure X without having to reinstall everything?
boot into runlevel 3, by doing "linux 3" at the kernel prompt
Then log in as root, and run "Xconfigurator" to reconfigure X to work with your new video card.
