I was an idiot. It was really libGL. It was using libGL shipped with ATI
driver. So I just removed the driver completely, installed
XFree86-Mesa-GL (it did not install along with the driver - conflicting
over libGL.so.1.2 file) - and got glxinfo showing me correct results.
glxgears fly fast (~1400fps) and do not load CPU much. Thanks a million
for idea.
