I'm running XFree86-4.2.99.2-0.20021110.10 on 8.0.

I have a Radeon QD -which is something like 7000-

I built the kernel drm modules which seem to work fine --except I had to 

build the whole of X to get them-- I did notice in the X.log there is 

still a message about gatos drivers but, as far as I can see from the 

gatos.sf.net site, nothing has been done for a long time and there is 

nothing that points in an xfree86-4.3 direction. Is the gatos stuff 

going to be merged into 4.3?


O: Is there a way to configure the various aspects, (size, shadow 

offset, etc.), of those fancy new mouse cursors?

No, GATOS won't go into 4.3.0, and possibly not ever by the 

looks of it.
