for this. It's supposed to switch to XF4.0 if it's supported.

It's misdetecting the card/chip, and thinks the XF4.0 server is correct.
I thik the XF3.3.6 server was installed because you had it there before.

I'll also mention it on the Red Hat XFree86 list ( xfree86-list@redhat.com)
since Mike Harris, the Red Hat X maintainer isn't on the valhalla list.
