Hi,

I am using an HP Dl380 G5 server with 2 Intel Xeon Quadcores, installed Redhat 5(2.6.18.el5 kernel). I noticied that in these servers, the smp_affinity is not a sinle mask value, insteads is a series of "comma" separated values. Can someone help me understand how to interpret these values and set the mask?

[root@g1 linux-2.6.18]# cat /proc/irq/10/smp_affinity
00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000001

I also cheched on a 2 DUAL core Intel servers on HPDL380 G5 servers with redhat 4. I still see similar 8 comma separated values
00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,00000000,000000ff

Thanks in advance.
Gururaj
