	There is possible that the imap server you're connecting to is
configured to perform user identification using ident service. Try a
'tcpdump -i externat_gw_iface -n port auth' right before connecting to
the imap server. If there will be packets matched while connecting be
sure this packets are not dropped in your firewall. If this kind of
packets are dropped in your firewall try changing the target of that
rule rule to REJECT or even ACCEPT.
