I am merely trying to find why you think we need a new configuration
program. There are already quite a few. Red Hat has a new one in RHL 8,
and judging from some comments I've seen it needs some attention. 

XFree comes with a couple. Debian has another, and _that_ needs some
attention.

So, Why write an application like Xconfigurator?
