Howdy,

I've put together newer tcpdump-3.7.1 rpm's for
being able to capture raw packages from prism2
(wlan) card too etc. Here is the story :)

%changelog
* Wed Jul 03 2002 Riku Meskanen <mesrik@cc.jyu.fi>
- started with tcpdump-3.6.2-14.src.rpm from rawhide
- upgraded libpcap to 0.7.1 and tcpdump-3.7.1
- patch5: tcpdump-3.6.2-tcpslice-time, fine
- patch7: tcpdump-3.6.2-redhat, patch path problem, fixed new 3.7.1
- patch50: libpcap-shared.patch, fine
- patch51: tcpdump-3.6.2-purge, obsolete feature already in libpcap-0.7.1
- patch52: new patch from http://www.shaftnet.org/%7Epizza/software/ to
            enable prism2 raw dumps
- patch6: tcpdump-3.6.2-usageman, path + out of sync, fixed new 3.7.1
- patch8: tcpdump-3.6.1-droproot2, path + out of sync, fixed new 3.7.1
- patch9: tcpdump-3.6.1-smb, obsolete feature already in tcpdump-3.7.1
- patch10: tcpdump-3.6.1-portnumbers, path&man pg out of sync, fixed new
3.7.1
- patch11: tcpdump-3.6.1-non-promisc-default, path + man pg, fixed new
3.7.1
- patch12: tcpdump-3.6.2-afsprinting, obsolete feat already in 3.7.1
- patch13: tcpdump-3.6.2-dropdefault, path fixed, new 3.7.1
- patch14: tcpdump-3.6.2-snaplen, obsolete feat already in 3.7.1
- patch100: tcpdump-3.6.2-config, rewrote this to patch acconfig.h and
configure.in instead of just configure, added aclocal and
            uncommennted autoconf on %build
- rest patches seem to be ok as arpwatch and tcpslice was not upgraded

The packages can be found from

http://people.jyu.fi/~mesrik/tmp/tcpdump

if anyone else would like to see or give it a try. It seems
to function after few short tests as expected. And as seen
from above changelog it includes all relevant patches from
std Red Hat tcpdump (drops privileges etc).

:-) riku

ps.	There is already packaged gpsdrive beneath that
directory, I've got the mostly working kismet
	[ http://www.kismetwireless.net/ ] packages too,
which should appear there too after some time.
