/etc/resolve.conf going to dhcp settings

Hi,

i build a new linux server , while installing i selected eth2 device as dhcp
ip,

after installation when i try to change the eth2 to normal static ip it is
not coming to the network

when i reboot my machine /etc/resolve.conf is changing to dhcp ip's which
should not happen

Please suggest on this
