Whether or not to join linux servers to AD domain

Hi.

We're working on getting our RHEL servers to authenticate against AD
(see the "Configuring RHEL servers to authenticate with Windows Server
2008 Active Directory" thread). It seems to be working fine, and we're
still in the development phase. Our current setup does not involve
Kerberos or joining our RHEL servers to AD domains using winbind, and
we could use some advice on whether or not to implement this. What are
the pros and cons of setting up Winbind and Kerberos, and joining the
AD domain? Our plan have been simply to authenticate against AD (which
now seems to work fine), but we could use some advice on whether or
not to go with the winbind+kerberos approach instead.

Best regards,
Kenneth Holter
