You can use the "alternatives" tool to switch to a different MTA, google
it for the usage.

Gef,
Please let me know if I can use postfix in place of sendmail.
I just tried to configure it but when I do mailx it by default takes
'sendmail' to send emails even though i shut off sendmail services.

What is the configuration required to make postfix as default service
for
mailing purpose?
