Subject: Non User Accounts on RHEL 5.3

I have a requirement to change non-user accounts (i.e avahi) passwords.
Will this pose a problem to the avahi daemon, for example?

Those accounts typically don't have passwords... and they're unable to log in. Why do you need to change them?
