I wouldn't recommend that - I'd sugggest perhaps a bit less in /, maybe
20G-40G, and making /home, /var, and /opt separate partitions, as well as
/data. That way, when you upgrade, you won't have to worry about /home, and all
the software/data under /opt (and a lot of software, these days, wants to go
under /opt).
